Alfa Romeo Alfa 6 sandro pertini

The president of the republic never forgotten Sandro Pertini was the only head of state to use, for a certain period, the ALFA 6.
Elected on 8 July 1978, then began his seven-yet with the Alfetta 2000, as reflected in the few movies of the time.
But immediately after the "grandfather” President, or his, do not let slip the opportunity to use the flagship fresh presentation of the then company was Alfa Romeo.
Then, since the summer of 1980 in all of 1982 made, the President used regurarly the ALFA 6.
Neither were bought 2, one with plate X09343 registered on 17 June 1980 and a plaque with W79094 registered on 15 January 1982
2 ALFA 6 were bodied by Zagato armored at the trust of Alfa Romeo, with some modifications such as the sunroof to move back
double mirrors Vitaloni of blacks (but frankly we do not understand why) and the additional lights on the grille.
On 5 November 1980 the Secretary of the Quirinale Antonio Maccanico destroyed the first ALFA 6 in a spectacular accident at the presidential seal Castelporziano.
The car went completely destroyed and was removed on 4 November 1984.
The second ALFA 6 was, however, given in exchange in February 1988 at a Fiat dealership in Rome.

After the World Cup of 1982 the ALFA 6 in the movies gives way to a beautiful 4900 Maserati Quattroporte, apparently chosen personally by the President. The photo above, however, portrays the change to the Presidency of the Republic from Pertini to Cossiga, his successor in 1985.
This is an armored second set included a Cossiga that, as a former Minister of Interior, uses as the basis.
